Tax Day Protests to Demand Trump's Returns
Large protests are expected Saturday across the country pegged to Tax Day to pressure President Donald Trump to release his tax returns.
This year's Tax Day Marches on Saturday, planned in dozens of cities across the county, are expected to be the biggest political mass mobilization since January's Women's March, which some believe was the largest mass political mobilization ever recorded.

Grassroots Phoenix space exploration agency holds 'first protest in space'
Protesters against President Donald Trump’s proposed policies are getting creative.
A new group of Phoenix-based grassroots space explorers is launching what they say is the very first "protest in space."
Operating under a mask of anonymity, they call themselves the "Autonomous Space Agency Network." Its abbreviation is NASA spelled backward.
“Right now it’s a lot of corporate and military influence, so we want to make it a space that’s democratic for everybody,” said one of ASAN’s founders.

Tom Cat Bakery workers protest at Trump Tower
Hundreds of supporters and advocates joined the 31 employees of the Long Island City-based Tom Cat Bakery as they rallied Saturday outside Trump Tower in Manhattan, protesting the White House’s clampdown on immigration.
The immigrant workers have been threatened with a mass termination April 21 after a U.S. Department of Homeland Security audit identified them as lacking legal authorization to work in the United States.
“We work hard, pay taxes and have built Tom Cat into a hugely successful company that helps New York City’s economy strong,” worker Ana Campos said. We refuse to be discarded like stale bread.”

Group of surfers to protest plan to dump nuclear waste
A group of surfers will don hazmat gear to protest a plan that calls for the burial of nuclear waste on the site of the former San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station.
On Friday afternoon, a group of surfers wearing hazmat suits, concerned citizens dressed as mermaids, musicians and other activists will gather at the Hall of Justice in downtown San Diego to call attention to the potential consequences of the proposal.
The plan is for waste from the San Onofre plant — which was shut down in 2012 due to leaks — to be stored about 100 feet from the ocean and a popular beach.
“It just seems like an act of insanity to think that we can bury nuclear waste in the sand, on a fault line, for an earthquake, in a tsunami zone, and expect no repercussions for that,” said activist Erica Rose.

Scientists plan to march on Washington
A few months from now, thousands of scientists will leave their labs and take to the streets to rally on behalf of publicly funded, openly communicated, evidence-based research.
At least, that's the vision of the organizers of the March for Science, which is slated to take place on April 22 — Earth Day.
